I love this place. We, of course, discovered it while out with besties A+A one night. We went on a Friday night and that place was PACKED. I feel like it’s pretty safe to assume that anywhere that is that busy… there’s gotta be something good going on. Unless it’s Walmart. But there is lots of good going on at eatZi’s. Lots of Italian awesomeness. Opera/accordion music playing loudly from the speakers. Friendly and helpful employees. Samples to munch while you browse. Freshly made and really delicious food. It is a really unique and fun experience. And live opera on Saturday nights! So awesome.
I took a lot of pictures to show you all it has to offer. OH and shhhhh that I took pictures. Last time we were there, Anna and I got in trouble for taking photos. So I snuck some this time. If you’re eatZi’s and you’re reading this, I’m just trying to tell everyone how awesome you are!
Central Market-style prepared food displays.
Grill where they make hot, to-order food like omelettes and waffles for breakfast, grilled salmon and pasta for lunch, roasted chicken and buffalo wings for dinner.
Fridges with their food, pre-packaged to grab and go, like sandwiches and wraps, salads, grilled chicken, and fajitas.
A small part of the market area. They have classy, specialty groceries. Don’t go there looking for cheetos. They’ll send you packin in shame. Lots of different condiments, crackers, HUGE wine selection. And other things.
Salad and sandwich lines, AFTER the lunch rush. The line was huge when we got there, but it moves really quickly. They do an excellent job. Sandwiches are made on their freshly baked bread. Also the coffee bar.
Meats and cheeses. Look at all of that! You know where to go to stock your next antipasto platter.
Sneaky, around the corner, photo of the bakery. Look at the nice gentleman just standing there, so ready to help someone!
Don’t worry. If you don’t want to buy a whole cake, they have single-serving goodies ready to go for you. Aren’t they thoughtful??
I was craving a sandwich both times that we’ve been, but have tried their pizza and cookies, too. All delicious. I need to try more things and LUCKY FOR ME, it’s two blocks from B’s new job!! Oh yea!
-Friday night- $10 pizza and it gets soooo busy. I wonder how many pies they sell every Friday but I’m guessing it is a LOT.
-Red dot markdowns to BOGO from 9-10pm daily on some of the prepared foods. Sounds like a good time to drop by and stock up!
Don’t let the busy-ness deter you. I promise it is worth the visit and worth bumping a few elbows with other foodies. The Uptown location is the only one I can vouch for right now, but I’m sure the others are just as great!
