I don’t buy brown sugar. For me, there’s no need. I always have sugar and molasses on hand, so I make my own! Now you may not want to go buy molasses because be real, what are you going to use it for? (There are actually lots of yummy answers to that question, but we’ll save that for another time.) But one thing you do need to know is that it lasts for a LONG time. I believe I bought my bottle when we lived in Idaho, at least 4 years ago. It only expires this year. So. I mix up my own brown sugar whenever I need it. It tastes so yummy in things and I like it fresh.
And so fluffy! Look at that fluff!
Prep: 5 minutes
1 cup organic pure cane sugar
2 tbsp molasses
Mix together until molasses is fully incorporated.
Now go bake something yummy!
